Lenah Hassaballah is a broadcast and digital journalist and presenter who has been covering regional politics for the past 14 years, with media networks like Al Jazeera and Al Arabiya for their TV channels. She studied broadcast and digital journalism in Syracuse, New York and soon after graduating, started her career covering the Arab Spring in Egypt with Al Jazeera in 2011. She has focused on covering regional politics with a human interest angle ever since. In 2022, she joined CNN Business Arabic as a news editor and presenter in Dubai, leading a team of reporters in the region covering business news. More recently, she covered the G20 in Rio de Janeiro where she met with President Erdogan, and before that she interviewed Iraqi President Abdul Latif Rashid in Baghdad.
